Thank you for applying to join the Wingate Collective! 

I started working on Wingate Studio in 2024 after I tore my calf muscle playing netball. I discovered barefoot shoes, but really wasn’t a fan of the designs available in the UK. I talked to a lot of friends and family who shared this sentiment and that’s what led to me working on the Purbeck 8, our first Wingate Studio Barefoot shoe. 

Having worked as a footwear consultant for 15 years and worked with a number of start ups, I knew it would be a long road to launch – but here we are! … launch is approaching and it’s time to get selling !

Now I need to confess … I hate Jeff Bezos … with a passion … and I really don’t want to have to resort to setting up an Amazon shop!

What I would much rather do is work with independents like yourself, who are working hard to build something to support themselves and their families … now that is something I’m excited about supporting!
